This morning, Nintendo officially announced that their long-anticipated portable gaming console Wii U will be released in stores on November 18th, just in time for the holidays. The basic white 8 GB version will cost $300 while the black deluxe 32 GB version (pictured above) will be $350. One particularly special feature of the Wii U that Nintendo recently unveiled is Nintendo TVii, which will allow Wii U owners to find and interact with all of their favorite shows and movies through every possible platform, including live TV, DVR, on-demand, and online streaming services such as Hulu Plus and Netflix.
Nintendo also announced approximately 50 titles that will be available for purchase within the first six months of the Wii U’s release, including Super Mario Bros. U, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Darksiders 2, Transformers Prime, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition. For the full press release and list of games, click on the link here.
